Pilates entails a series of movements which engage the body and the mind. The movements focus on breathing and body awareness to create strength and flexibility, with an ‘all gain, no pain’ approach.

5 BASIC PRINCIPLES

Based on five basic principles; breathing, the placement of the pelvis, rib cage, shoulders, head and neck, Pilates helps to create an understanding of how the body should move and be placed. They ensure that each exercise is performed with the required focus, precision and control, enabling every individual to gain the full benefit of each one.
